This Bruins forward is expected to draw plenty of attention around the NHL.

The Boston Bruins have had an atrocious start to the season. They already made their first big decision of the campaign when they fired Jim Montgomery. However, the possibility of more changes occurring is undoubtedly there.
Bruins forward Trent Frederic has come up in the rumor mill early this season, as he has generated interest. In his most recent 32 Thoughts column, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman added that Frederic should continue to be a hot commodity because teams are looking for forwards with an edge.
Here is what Friedman said on the matter:
"It's not a surprise, but we're already hearing that forwards with "an edge" will be coveted by contenders. So, when the Bruins are being scouted, that's Trent Frederic. Obviously, his as-yet-undetermined contract status looms large."

If the Bruins' season goes south and they elect to sell, Frederic could become a valuable trade chip for the Original Six club. Until he signs an extension, trade speculation surrounding the 2016 first-round pick will remain. And teams around the NHL will surely continue to inquire about his availability.
