With the Bruins needing more scoring, they could have used this recently traded forward.

On Thursday (Nov. 8), the Vancouver Canucks surprisingly traded forward Daniel Sprong to the Seattle Kraken for future considerations.

When noting that the Bruins could use more scoring right now, Sprong would have been an interesting player for them to pursue.

Sprong quietly put together strong back-to-back offensive seasons in 2022-23 and 2023-24. In 66 games with the Kraken in 2022-23, he had 21 goals and 46 points. He then had 18 goals and 43 points in 76 games last season with the Detroit Red Wings. These numbers are especially impressive when noting that he primarily played in a bottom-six role with both clubs.

With his solid scoring ability, Sprong could have been an interesting bargain player for the Bruins to bring in and try out in their middle six. It will be interesting to see how well he performs during his second stint in Seattle from here.
