The Boston Bruins have finally signed their superstar goalie.
It is finally over.
The Boston Bruins have signed star goalie Jeremy Swayman to an eight-year, $66 million contract ($8.25 million AAV).
With this move, the Bruins now have their top goalie signed, and Swayman has officially cemented himself as a long-term part of the Bruins' core. They will now enter the regular season with their complete roster and look like a much more significant threat in the Eastern Conference.
Swayman appeared in 43 games last season for the Bruins, posting a 25-10-8 record, a .916 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.53 goals-against average (GAA). He also had a .933 SV% and a 2.15 GAA in 12 playoff appearances.
