A.J. Greer is set to have a big career moment, as the former Boston Bruins forward will be making his Stanley Cup Final debut for the Florida Panthers in their Game 3 matchup against the Edmonton Oilers on June 9.
Greer missed Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Final for the Panthers because of a lower-body injury. However, the former Bruins gritty winger is now good to go and will be playing in his first career Stanley Cup Final game because of it.
Greer signed a two-year contract with the Panthers this past off-season, and it is safe to say that he has found a great fit with them. In 81 games with Florida this season, he scored six goals and set new career highs with 11 assists, 17 points, 130 penalty minutes, and 222 hits. Overall, he has become a nice part of the Panthers' bottom six, so they will be happy to have him back for Game 3 against the Edmonton.
Greer has also appeared in 12 playoff games with the Panthers this spring, where he has two goals and one assist.
Greer had five goals, 12 points, 101 hits, 114 penalty minutes, and a plus-9 rating in 61 games for the Bruins during the 2022-23 season. His time with the Bruins organization ended before the 2023-24 campaign, as he was claimed by the Calgary Flames after being placed on waivers by Boston.
