The Boston Bruins are preparing for a massive 2025 NHL Entry Draft. After an ugly 2024-25 season, the Bruins have the seventh-overall pick in the draft and have the opportunity to land a very good prospect because of it.
The Bruins have naturally been connected to several exciting prospects with the draft rapidly approaching, and that includes forward Brady Martin.
While speaking to reporters, including Elite Prospects' Cam Robinson, Martin revealed that the Bruins were one of the teams that took him out to dinner this week. He also confirmed that the Philadelphia Flyers, Utah Mammoth, and Nashville Predators did as well.
When looking at how Martin performed this season, it is very easy to understand why the Bruins are interested in him. The 18-year-old center broke out in a big way for the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL this season, posting new career highs with 33 goals, 39 assists, and 72 points in 57 games. This was after the 6-foot forward had 10 goals and 28 points in 52 games with the Greyhounds in 2023-24.
Besides his offensive ability, Martin also makes sense as a draft target for the Bruins because of his gritty style of play and tenacity. It is no secret that the Bruins could use more skilled players with bite, so a player like Martin could be a major pickup for their prospect pool.
Nevertheless, it is going to be fascinating to see if Martin ends up being the Bruins' guy with the seventh-overall pick from here.
