This new Boston Bruins forward is on his way to having a big breakout season.

The Bruins' start to the 2024-25 season has been a bit shaky. They currently have a 2-2-0 record, and their top stars haven't delivered as much as they hoped. While this is the case, they also have had some depth players step up in a big way early on.
New Bruins forward Mark Kastelic is undoubtedly a prime example, as he has been nothing short of excellent for the Original Six club thus far.
Kastelic, 25, has been a surprising source of offense for the Bruins, posting two goals and five points in his first four games. He is also tied for first in points on the team with Elias Lindholm.

Seeing this kind of production early on from Kastelic is outstanding, especially considering that he is not known for offense. His best season in the NHL came in 2022-23 when he had seven goals and 11 points in 65 games with the Ottawa Senators. The Phoenix, Arizona native now looks set to smash these career highs as a Bruin.
However, besides starting the season extremely hot offensively, he has also maintained his immense physicality, recording 20 hits already. With this, he has been a spectacular addition to the Bruins' fourth line and is well on his way to having a big breakout year.
It will now be fun to see how well Kastelic performs from here, but it is impossible not to like what we are seeing from him thus far.
