Former Boston Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco is reportedly on the move.
According to The Athletic's Peter Baugh, the New York Rangers are expected to hire Sacco as one of their new assistant coaches.
This Sacco update comes after the Bruins opted to pick Marco Sturm as their new head coach. Now, Sacco will join Mike Sullivan's staff and look to help the Rangers have a bounce-back season in 2024-25.
After becoming the interim head coach of the Bruins this season following Jim Montgomery's firing, Sacco led the Original Six club to a 25-30-7 record. Before this, he had been an assistant coach for the Bruins from 2014-15 to 2023-24 and was Boston's associate coach for the start of the 2024-25 season.
