Former Buffalo Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers hit a big career milestone this past weekend. The now Vancouver Canucks defender played in his 1,000th career NHL game when the Pacific Division club faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers.

It is always a big deal when an NHL player hits the 1,000-game mark, and now Myers has done just that. The 6-foot-8 defenseman has put together a solid career, and this latest accomplishment only builds on that further.

Myers was drafted by the Sabres with the 12th overall pick of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In 365 games over six seasons as a Sabre, he had 45 goals, 151 points, and 485 hits.
