Buffalo Sabres star Tage Thompson is looking to have a bounce-back season. After posting career highs with 47 goals, 47 assists, and 94 points in 78 games in 2022-23, he had just 29 goals and 56 points in 71 games last season. While this production was not bad, it significantly decreased from his previous campaign.

However, when looking at Thompson's recent stretch of play, the 6-foot-6 center is showing signs of regaining his previous form. After posting just one point in his first season games of the season, Thompson now has three goals and five goals over his last four games. He is not slowing down, either, as he had a goal and an assist against the Chicago Blackhawks in the Sabres' latest win.

Seeing Thompson produce consistently early on in the season is incredibly encouraging. If the Sabres hope to turn their slow start around and break their 13-year playoff drought this year, they need a player like Thompson to play at his highest level. So far, he is undoubtedly trending in that direction.

Seeing how he builds on his current hot streak from here will be intriguing. If he keeps this play up, the Phoenix, Arizona native could be in for a big bounce-back season.
