Vancouver Canucks prospect Josh Bloom had an assist in the Saginaw Spirit's 4-2 loss to the London Knights.

Despite a strong effort, Josh Bloom and the Saginaw Spirit dropped their final game of the 2024 Memorial Cup round-robin 4-2 to the London Knights. With the loss, the Spirit finished the round-robin 2-1 and will play the Moose Jaw Warriors in the semi-final. Moose Jaw and Saginaw have already faced off once in this tournament, with the Spirit winning on opening night thanks to Bloom's game-winning goal.

Bloom played a crucial role for Saginaw all night. He recorded the primary assist on the Spirit's opening goal, while his only shot on goal was classified as a dangerous shot. Bloom finishes the three-game round-robin with a goal and an assist, along with a plus/minus of +2.

Bloom and his teammates will now get a day off before hitting the ice Friday for the semi-final. If they win against the Warriors, it would set up a rematch with the London Knights in Sunday's final. Game time for the semi-final is scheduled for 4:30 pm PT and can be viewed on TSN.
