Alex Edler is the only defenceman in Canucks franchise history who has more points than Quinn Hughes.

Recording point number 326 of his Vancouver Canucks, Quinn Hughes has officially passed Mattias Öhlund and moved into sole possession of second on the franchise all-time points by a defenceman list. Hughes moved past Öhlund thanks to his second period goal against the Arizona Coyotes. Alex Edler is the only defenceman in franchise history with more points, who recorded 409 in 925 games. While Hughes will not catch Edler this season, he should hit the milestone next year if the Canucks captain can replicate his impressive campaign.
Despite only playing 359 games, Hughes has already set multiple franchise records. His 85 points this season are the most ever by a defenceman in franchise history, while he is the defender in Vancouver's history to record 60+ assists in a season. He is also on track to become not just the first Canucks defenceman to be nominated for the Norris Trophy but could join the likes of Henrik and Daniel Sedin, Pavel Bure and Elias Pettersson, who are amongst the few to win year-end NHL Awards.
