The Moose Jaw Warriors head home with a 2-0 lead after a 5-1 Game 2 victory.

Despite being heavily outshot, the Moose Jaw Warriors walked away from Game 2 with a 5-1 win and a 2-0 series advantage. Jackson Unger was the story of the night as the Warriors goaltender stopped 37 of the 38 shots he faced in Game 2. As for the offence, it was Jagger Firkus leading the way with two goals and an assist while Brayden Yager had a goal while also leading Moose Jaw with five shots on goal.
From Portland's perspective, this was a frustrating game. Despite holding a 17-4 shot advantage in the third period, they were unable to solve Unger, which has developed into a theme through two games. Whether it is getting more traffic on the net or forcing the Warriors goaltender to move side to side, the Winterhawks need to find a way to generate more offence if they want to get back into this series in Game 3.
The WHL Final now switches to Moose Jaw for Games 3, 4 and 5. The Warriors are 6-2 so far at home and have scored four or more goals in six of the eight games. Game 3 will take place on Tuesday, May 14, with puck drop scheduled for 8:00 pm ST.
