Portland hit the 300-goal mark during their 11-1 win over the Tri-City Americans.

The Portland Winterhawks continue to show why they are one of the most dangerous teams in the CHL. Scoring 11 goals for the third time this season, the Winterhawks became the first WHL team to score 300 goals this year. Currently sitting at 307 goals, this is the first time since 2013-14 that Portland has surpassed the 300 mark. With five games to go, the Winterhawks will be looking to exceed 340 for the first time since 1997-98, when they won the Memorial Cup.
Portland has built one of the deepest rosters across the CHL. Led by Gabe Klassen's 102 points, the Winterhawks currently have nine players with over 40 points this season. Some other leaders include Luca Cagnoni, who leads all defencemen in the WHL with 83 points, and James Stefan, who is two goals off 50 and three points off 100. Add in Nate Danielson, who is at 33 points in 24 games and Tyson Jugnauth, who is at a point per game through 36 games, and you have a lineup that can match up against anyone.
With 93 points in 63 games, Portland is on the verge of capturing their first U.S. Division title since 2019-20. They are also in a battle with the Prince George Cougars for top spot in the conference, which may come down to the final day of the season. Regardless of where they end up in the standings, they will be one of the favourites to represent the WHL at this year's Memorial Cup.
