    The Boston Bruins are now 41 days away from their 2025-26 season opener against the Washington Capitals. Because of this, let's take a look at each player who has worn No. 41 for the Bruins. 

    No. 41 is not the most popular in Bruins history, as only 12 players have worn it for the Black and Gold. While this is the case, a few notable names did. 

    Allen Pedersen, D (1986-87 to 1990-91)

    Allen Pederson from the first Bruins player to wear No. 41, as he did during his entire five-year stint with the Bruins from 1986-87 to 1990-91. In 333 games with the Bruins, the 6-foot-3 defenseman recorded four goals, 31 assists, 35 points, and 408 penalty minutes. 

    Dave Thomlinson, LW (1991-92)

    The next Bruins player to wear No. 41 for the Bruins was forward Dave Thomlinson. However, he did not sport it for very long, as he played in 12 games for the Bruins during the 1991-92 season. During that season, he recorded one assist, 17 penalty minutes, and a minus-2 rating. 

    Tim Sweeney, LW (1992-93) 

    During the first stint with the Bruins in 1992-93, Tim Sweeney wore No. 41. In 14 games for the Bruins that campaign, he recorded one goal, seven assists, and eight points. When he returned to the Bruins during the 1995-96 season, he wore No. 42. In 91 games over three seasons and two stints with the Bruins, he posted 19 goals, 26 assists, and 45 points.

    Guy Larose, C (1994-95) 

    Guy Larose was the next Bruins player to wear No. 41. While he spent the entirety of the 1994-95 in the AHL with the Providence Bruins, he was called up to Boston's roster during the playoffs. In four games with the Bruins during the 1995 NHL playoffs, he did not get on the scoresheet. 

    Phil Von Stefenelli, D (1995-96)

    The next Bruins player to wear No. 41 was defenseman Phil Von Stefenelli during the 1995-96 season. In 27 games with the Bruins that campaign, he recorded four assists, 16 penalty minutes, and a plus-2 rating. Following his time in Boston, he played his final NHL season with the Ottawa Senators in 1996-97. 

    Anders Myrvold, D (1996-97)

    Anders Myrvold wore No. 41 briefly during his lone season with Boston in 1996-97. In nine games with the Bruins that campaign, he recorded two assists and a minus-1 rating. 

    Jason Allison, C (1996-97 to 2000-01)

    Out of all the players who have worn No. 41 for the Bruins, there is no question that Jason Allison is the most notable. After being acquired by the Capitals during the 1996-97 season, Allison broke out and became a big-time star as a member of the Bruins. He was also the Bruins' captain during his final season in Boston in 2000-01, where he recorded career highs with 36 goals, 59 assists, and 95 points in 82 games. This was good enough for him to make the All-Star Game. 

    In 301 games over five seasons with the Bruins, Allison recorded 105 goals, 189 assists, 294 points, and a plus-32 rating. His time with the Bruins ended when he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in October of 2021. 

    Zdenek Kutlak, D (2003-04)

    After wearing No. 39 during his first two seasons with the Bruins, defenseman Zdenek Kutlak switched to No. 41 during the 2003-04 season. However, he did not sport it for very long, as he played in just two games for the Bruins that season, where he had zero points and a minus-1 rating. 

    Andrew Alberts, D (2005-06 to 2007-08)

    Andrew Alberts was the next player to wear No. 41 for the Bruins. In 184 games over three seasons with the Bruins, the left-shot defenseman recorded one goal, 18 assists, 19 points, 231 penalty minutes, and a minus-8 rating. 

    Andrej Meszaros, D (2013-14)

    After the Bruins acquired defenseman Andrej Meszaros from the Philadelphia Flyers during the 2013-14 season, he wore No. 41 for Boston. In 14 games with the Bruins during the 2013-14 campaign, Meszaros posted two goals, five points, 13 hits, and a plus-4 rating. His time with the Bruins during the 2014 NHL off-season, when he signed with the Buffalo Sabres

    Joonas Kemppainen, LW (2015-16)

    Joonas Kemppainen was the next Bruins player to sport No, 41, as he did during the 2015-16 season. In 44 games during that campaign with the Bruins, he recorded two goals, three assists, five points, and 36 hits. This would be his only season at the NHL level. 

    Jaroslav Halak, G (2018-19 to 2020-21)

    Jaroslav Halak is the most recent former Bruin to wear No. 41 for the Original Six club. He certainly did well during his time with the Original Six club, as he recorded a 49-23-14 record, a .918 save percentage, and a 2.40 goals-against average in 90 games. He also won the William M. Jennings Trophy with Tuukka Rask during the 2019-20 season.
