Jeremy Swayman had some words about giving up a Michigan goal against the Hurricanes.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

The Boston Bruins' four-game winning streak was broken last night (April 9), as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Original Six club by a 4-1 final score. The Bruins were simply outclassed by the Canes, but all they can do now is move on to the next game.

Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov created a plethora of chatter from this matchup as the star winger beat Bruins netminder Jeremy Swayman with the Michigan. While the officials did not see the puck go in initially, the video room in Toronto caught it and stopped play shortly after.

Following the game, Swayman addressed Svechnikov's goal to reporters, including The Fourth Period's Shawn Hutcheon. Here's what the Bruins' star goalie said on the matter: "He's so good at that. I couldn't believe it. It was my goal to never get Michiganned. That was put in the toilet today."

While it certainly is tough that Swayman has now been 'Michiganned,' it's hard to put any real blame on him. As Swayman noted, Svechnikov is a master of the move, and Swayman is the latest goalie to fall victim to it.
