The Boston Bruins have made some significant moves in recent months. During the off-season, they finally improved down the middle by signing Elias Lindholm. They improved the left side of their defense with the signing of Nikita Zadorov. And then, right before the start of the regular-season, they locked up star goalie Jeremy Swayman to an eight-year, $66 million contract.

Nevertheless, it is apparent that the Bruins have made some big splashes. However, even with this being the case, it is abundantly clear that they still have one more big need to address -- adding another top-six winger.

While the Bruins improved their roster in other areas, they notably got weaker on the wing. Former Bruins forward Jake DeBrusk landed his big payday with the Vancouver Canucks, and Boston did not have cap space to bring in a guaranteed top-six winger in free agency to replace him. In addition, they also lost winger Danton Heinen, who played top-six minutes last season with the Bruins, to Vancouver.

Thus, there is absolutely no question that the Bruins must look to add a skilled top-six winger at some point this season. They will need to be creative to land one due to their current cap situation, but doing so would make the Bruins a far more legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference.
