The Boston Bruins' season-opening matchup could not have gone much worse. They once again lost to the Florida Panthers, this time by a 6-4 final score. It was a rough night for the Bruins, and today's (Oct. 10) practice indicates that they may try out some new lines for tonight's contest against the Montreal Canadiens.
On offense, the Bruins replaced Max Jones with Riley Tufte on the third line. Tufte skated with Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau.
It also appears that Parker Wotherspoon could be in the lineup tonight for Boston, as he skated on the third pairing with Andrew Peeke. In addition, Mason Lohrei skated with the extras.
Parker WotherspoonNikita Zadorov, who played with Peeke last game, skated on the top pairing with Charlie McAvoy. Due to this, Hampus Lindholm was back with longtime partner Brandon Carlo on the second pairing.
Nevertheless, we could end up seeing some different lines tonight from the Bruins. It will be interesting to see what happens on that front from here.
