For the second straight season, Kole Lind is headed to the Calder Cup Final. The former Vancouver Canucks prospect qualified for the Final after the Coachella Valley Firebirds defeated the Milwaukee Admirals in the Western Conference Final. This year's Calder Cup Final will also be a repeat from last year as the Firebirds will look for revenge against the Hershey Bears.

Since leaving the Canucks organization, Lind has developed into a productive AHLer. Lind recorded over 60 points in each of the last two seasons, while his 31 points during the 2023 playoffs were tied for the ninth most by a player in AHL history. Now 25, the former second-round pick has played 313 AHL games, recording 88 goals and 232 points.

A big Calder Cup Final could be massive for Lind as he is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. While nothing has been reported, he could be a fit on Vancouver's roster next season if GM Patrik Allvin is looking to add a winger with some offensive upside to his bottom six. Now older and ready to make the jump to the NHL full-time, Lind returning to the organization that drafted him may not be such a bad idea.
