The Moose Jaw Warriors take on the Drummondville Voltigeurs in their final round-robin game at the 2024 Memorial Cup.

It is win-or-go-home day at the 2024 Memorial Cup as the Moose Jaw Warriors take on the QMJHL champions, the Drummondville Voltigeurs. With both teams sitting at 0-2, the winner will move on to the semi-final, while the loser will see their season come to a close. Overall, it should be an exciting game and, based on the way the tournament has gone so far, one that Moose Jaw should be considered the favourite.

Where the Warriors have a massive advantage heading into this game is at even strength scoring. Through two games, Moose Jaw has scored eight times during even-strength play, while the Voltigeurs have scored once. If the Warriors can keep generating chances in the offensive zone and crashing the net, they have enough talent to win the even-strength battle and, hopefully, the game.

As for one player who needs to step up, that would be Jagger Firkus. While he does have a point in each game, Firkus has struggled to get pucks on the net, only recording four through two games. If he can explode offensively and put the team on his back, it should be enough to guarantee Moose Jaw a spot in the semi-final.

Ultimately, the Warriors need to limit their mistakes if they want to beat Drummondville. As mentioned, Moose Jaw is a very talented and deep team, but errors are the reason they sit in a 0-2 hole. That being said, they have had a strong tournament so far and should be able to put on an impressive performance on Tuesday night.
