The Drummondville Voltigeurs enter the 2024 Memorial Cup as champions of the QMJHL.

With the 2024 Memorial Cup just days away, it is time to look at the opponents the Moose Jaw Warriors will be facing. This year's group includes the Saginaw Spirit, London Knights and Drummondville Voltigeurs. Today, we take a look at the Voltigeurs who will represent the QMJHL at the event.
Drummondville is going to cause their opposition problems throughout the Memorial Cup. The Voltigeurs went 16-2-1 in the postseason and finished with 83 goals for and just 37 against. They also led the QMJHL playoffs with an 85% penalty kill, showing that even when down a player, they can still keep their opposition off the scoresheet.
As for their lineup, Drummondville has done a great job of building one of the deepest rosters in the CHL. Their decision to add some experience worked out as Vsevolod Komarov, Kassim Gaudet and Mikael Huchetten, who all won the Memorial Cup with the Québec Remparts last season, played key roles throughout the playoffs. They also received standout performances from Ethan Gauthier, Luke Woodworth and Alexis Gendron en route to their second QMJHL championship in franchise history.
As for one player to watch, that would be defenceman Mikaël Diotte. Signed by the New Jersey Devils as an undrafted prospect, the 21-year-old defender was named the QMJHL's Top Defensive Defenseman this year and is a force on the blue line. Finishing the playoffs with ten points in 19 games, he has developed into a threat at both ends of the ice.
The Warriors will face off against the Knights on May 28. Participating in their first Memorial Cup, Moose Jaw will be looking to bring the championship back to the WHL for the first time since 2014. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:30 pm ST, with all games available on TSN.
