The Minnesota Wild (36-16-10) is back in action tonight for a game against the Vegas Golden Knights (29-19-14) on trade deadline day.
The Wild already made a move when they acquired forward Michael McCarron from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2028 second-round pick on Tuesday. They followed that up by acquiring defenseman Jeff Petry from the Florida Panthers.
The focus has been on a center, but according to reports, the Wild have traded for a winger. Forward Bobby Brink has been acquired by the Wild for defenseman David Jiricek.
Brink, 24, played his high school hockey for Minnetonka and his College hockey for Denver University. He is a Minnesota native who has 13 goals, 13 assists and 26 points in 55 games.
The pending RFA will join the Wild's middle-six as a scoring threat. He is also very good defensively.
Jiricek, 22, has struggled with the Wild after they traded a haul to get him from Columbus. He was traded for a 1st-round pick in 2025, 3rd and 4th-round picks in 2026 and a 2nd-round pick in 2027. The Wild now flipped him to the Philadelphia Flyers for Brink. Jiricek has zero points in 25 games this season for Minnesota.
