NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 30 - Montreal's Gallagher Rolling, Carolina's Hall Thriving In New Environs
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. Brendan Gallagher, RW, MTL @ FLA (1% rostered)Gallagher has been hot lately. He has points of his last six games, notching a pair of goals and five assists. That output has upped Gallagher's season totals to 17 tallies and 15 helpers. The 17 markers is Gallagher's highest in that category since 2019-20 while the 15 apples matches his 2023-24 total. Gallagher has improved his plus-minus substantially, going from minus-24 last season to minus-eight this campaign. JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF @ WSH (48% rostered)JJP lit the lamp for the fourth time in six games and is now up to 23 tallies on the season. Add in 33 helpers and Peterka continues to build on his career-best total in this his third full season. Peterka, an RFA after the season, should get a massive raise in his next deal. He is thriving with additional ice time, both at even strength and on the man advantage, aided by a slight increase in his shooting percentage.  Pius Suter, C/LW, VAN @ WPG (17% rostered)Suter is doing yeoman's work as the Canucks' de-facto top center with several player sidelined. He notched three assists Friday and has recorded multi-point performances in three games in a row, a stretch in which he's racked up one goal and six helpers. Suter's stretch of fine play extends back to the resumption of action following the 4 Nations Face-Off break. Since then, he has notched 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 18 games. Ryan Donato, C/LW/RW, CHI vs. UTAH (37% rostered)I am not sure how much more Donato needs to do to get his rostered percentage over our 50% coverage threshold. Until he does, we are more than happy to profile him almost every column because he seems to produce each appearance. Donato bulged the net three times Friday and been exceptional with five goals and two assists over his last three contests. He has nine tallies and 18 points through 14 outings this month. Overall, Donato is at 28 goals, 58 points, 166 shots on net, 102 hits and a minus-16 rating through 71 appearances. David Perron, LW/RW, OTT @ PIT (4% rostered)Perron was held off the scoresheet Saturday. Despite being blanked, Perron has been on a roll lately. Perron has 10 points, including seven goals, in his last 14 games after an extremely slow in the first season of the two-year, $8 million contract he signed with the Senators in July. He is one of the veteran presences on a team trying to clinch the first Wild Card spot.  Rutger McGroarty, RW, PIT vs. OTT (1% rostered)McGroarty was called up Friday from AHL Wilkes-Barre Scranton as the Penguins look forward to next season. His recent production in the minors certainly warranted a call up. McGroarty notched eight goals and 18 points in last 19 games, giving him 14 goals and 39 points in 60 total games, after just one point in his first eight AHL games. He was underwhelming in his three appearances for the Penguins this year, recording zero points, two shots and four hits while averaging 11:37 of ice time. But will get an early chance to show that he deserves a spot next season. Taylor Hall, LW, CAR vs. NYI (23% rostered)Hall certainly has provided offense for the 'Canes since coming over at the trade deadline, He extended his goal streak to three games in the second period Friday with a power-play tally. The 33-year-old winger has been on fire offensively, netting 10 points in his last eight games. With his marker Friday, Hall set his best mark for points in a regular season since the 2021-22 campaign, thriving on a talent Carolina team. Bobby McMann, LW, TOR @ ANA (10% rostered)McMann notched his 20th of the season earlier this past week. Despite getting shut out Saturday, McMann has three markers and a pair of helpers his last seven games. McMann is benefitting from skating with John Tavares and William Nylander.  Overall, he has 33 points, including five game-winning goals, and 150 shots in 65 games this season. Andrei Kuzmenko, LW/RW, LA vs. SJ (14% rostered)Kuzmenko is on his third team this season and looks to be settling in better with the Kings. He has a pair of goals and assists in his last four contests after not denting the scoresheet his first seven games in LA. Kuzmenko is skating on the team's third line at even-strength but first power-play unit, where he likely will do most of his damage. Kuzmenko's 74 point rookie campaign, which was just two years ago, seems far in the distance, as he has tallied just 70 combined points his last two campaigns. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defensemen Pickups March 30 - Ducks' Zellweger Starting to Heat Up
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. Owen Power, BUF @ WSH (29% rostered)Power tallied an assist for the second straight game and third in his last five Saturday. Each point Power scores gives the talent blueliner a new career-high. Coming into the season, the prevailing view on Power was that his focus was on defense with his production expected to take another hit. Power has picked up game offfensively, though that has been offset with a minus-14 rating, by far the worst of his three-year career. Sean Durzi, UTAH @ CHI (13% rostered)Durzi missed a little over three months with a shoulder injury, returning after the 4 Nations Face-Off break. He is taking a while to re-find his game but has shown some signs lately of coming around. Durzi has two goals in his last six outings and seven points (three goals, four helpers) across 21 appearances this season. Mikhail Sergachev is the top blueliner in Utah with Durzi possibly sliding in as the second option. Tony DeAngelo, NYI @ CAR (23% rostered)TDA continues to produce on the blueline for the Islanders. He scored for the second straight game and extended his point streak to five games Saturday. ADA has 10 points, including seven assists, in his last 11 outings. New York is on the fringes of playoff contention with DeAngelo having taken over from Noah Dobson as the team's main threat from the back line. Owen Zellweger, ANA vs. TOR (4% rostered)Zellweger tallied the game-winner in overtime and added an assist Friday for his first multi-point effort since Dec. 22. He maybe finding his offense late, adding an assist last Sunday, for three points his last three games. For the season, the 21-year-old has 17 points, 112 shots on net, 63 blocked shots, 33 hits and a plus-1 rating over 54 appearances, his first full season in the league. Anaheim has several young blueliners with a bright future, Zellweger is certainly on that list. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 28 - Forsberg Looks to Keep Ottawa Rolling
Eight games on Sunday, March 30 * = confirmed Samuel Montembeault, MTL @ Sergei Bobrovsky, FLA (1 p.m. ET) James Reimer, BUF @ Charlie Lindgren, WSH (3 p.m. ET) Thatcher Demko, VAN @ Connor Hellebuyck, WPG (3 p.m. ET) Karel Vejmelka, UTAH @ Spencer Knight, CHI (4 p.m. ET) Anton Forsberg, OTT @ Tristan Jarry, PIT (5 p.m. ET) Marcus Hogberg, NYI @ Pyotr Kochetkov, CAR (5 p.m. ET) Joseph Woll, TOR @ Lukas Dostal, ANA (8 p.m. ET) Georgi Romanov, SJ @ David Rittich, LA (10 p.m. ET) James Reimer, BUF @ WSH (3% rostered)Reimer has started three straight games, winning all three, allowing eight goals on 93 shots (.914 save percentage) over that stretch. Buffalo has been starting Reimer as their top goalie in place of Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, a situation that could remain in place while Reimer is hot. Long-term, though, UPL is the Sabres' goalie of the future, while Reimer is a capable second goalie. Reimer, who has allowed three goals in three of his last four starts, has a tough match up versus the Capitals; the best to hope for a healthy amount of saves. Karel Vejmelka, UTAH @ CHI (39% rostered)Vejmelka is in a bit of a rough patch. He played well Friday, but fell 2-1 in overtime to the Panthers. The loss was the third straight defeat for Vejmelka, who has posted a 3.92 goals-against average (GAA) and a subpar .825 save percentage over that three-game stretch. Vejmelka is Utah's best option between the pipes and he gets a slightly juicy matchup against a Chicago squad that is 1-8-1 in their last 10 and dropped two in a row. Roll with Vejmelka between the pipes as he has a solid chance at notching a win. Anton Forsberg, OTT @ PIT (6% rostered)Forsberg, in limited action backing up Linus Ullmark, has been more than solid when between the pipes. In six outings overall since the beginning of February, Forsberg has a 2.35 GAA and .910 save percentage, Despite those solid numbers, Forsberg will still remain Ullmark's back up, but worth a look when in net, as he is Sunday. Pittsburgh is looking forward to 2025-26 while Ottawa is trying to get closer to clinching a playoff spot, making Forsberg worth deploying in your leagues. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 28 - Florida's Samoskevich Worth A Look Friday
Mackie Samoskevich, RW, FLA vs. UTAH (14% rostered)Samoskevich, selected 24 overall in 2021, is having a nice rookie season for the Panthers, He has tallied 13 goals while dishing out as many assists in 62 contest, picking up his scoring subsequent to the 4 Nations Face-Off break. Samoskevich has also dished out 114 hits, showing why he is viewed by many as a perfect third line winger for the future. Christian Dvorak, MTL @ CAR (1% rostered)Dvorak had his moment in the sun March 19, posting a goal and three assists in Montreal's victory. He is up to 26 points on the season, putting him on pace to notch 30 points for the sixth time in his career. The one full campaign he missed that mark was last season, when he finished with 28 points but in just 64 contests. View Dvorak as a nice secondary or tertiary scoring option. Taylor Hall, RW, CAR vs. MTL (17% rostered)Hall, who got off to a slow start after arriving in Carolina, certainly has found his game. He tallied a natural hat trick Sunday, followed by a power-play goal Sunday. Over the last six contests, Hall has erupted for six goals and eight points, with three of the tallies coming on the man advantage. Carolina has been searching for a true scoring winger in the playoffs for years. Last season, they hoped Jake Guentzel was the answer. Then, the Canes acquired Mikko Rantanen, but dealt him at the trade deadline. Now, they may turn to Hall to lead the way in the postseason.  Jonathan Lekkerimaki, VAN @ CLM (1% rostered) Boone Jenner, C/LW, CLM vs. VAN (22% rostered)You get two options for the price of one ticket in this contest. With Vancouver shorthanded, Lekkerimaki is set to stick in the lineup for the rest of their current road trip, as the Canucks are missing Elias Pettersson (undisclosed), Filip Chytil (concussion) and Nils Hoglander (undisclosed). The 20-year-old Lekkerimaki has two points over his last three contests and should see top-six usage and some power-play time due to all the absences. Jenner was out until February 22 due to a shoulder injury. He is making up for lost time, notching a pair of goals and nine helpers in 14 games. Jenner has added 28 hits, in line with his prior production. He is one of the engines that makes the Blue Jackets go, wearing the C with pride.  Brett Howden, C/LW, LV @ CHI (4% rostered)Howden continues to add to his career-best numbers. Despite skating in the bottom-six, Howden has been more productive than expected, showing that he cam move up the lineup with aplomb when requested. Howden, who scored again Tuesday, is up to 34 points, 112 shots on net, 105 hits, 50 blocked shots, 44 PIM and a plus-13 rating through 69 appearances. He has deserved the five-year, $12.5 million contract extension he signed with the Golden Knights last November. Mason McTavish, Ana vs. NYR (31% rostered)McTavish set a new career-high in points with his goal Wednesday. He has five goals and eight assists over 13 games this month, upping his season-marks to 19 tallies and 25 assists. McTavish has thrived in the third-line center role, bolstered by the presence of Leo Carlsson, who has taken some of the pressure from him. Look for McT to be the Ducks' second-line pivot before too long, possibly even as early as next season. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defenseman Pickups March 28 - Winnipeg's Samberg Continues to Impress
Filip Hronek, VAN @ CLM (49% rostered)Hronek, after posting a career-high 48 points last season in his first full campaign with Vancouver, has struggled in 2024-25. Through 51 contests, Hronek has just four goals and 24 helpers, but may be closing the season strong. Hronek has a tally and five assists over his last nine contests, making his overall numbers look a lot better. He remains in a top-four role and also continues to see time on the second power-play unit. Dylan Samberg, WPG vs. NJ (16% rostered)Samberg is not known for his offense, though he has set a new career-high in points. He has two goals and three helpers over his last six games, upping his marks to six and 13 on the season. Samberg is plus-31, thriving with the almost six extra minutes of ice time per game on the second pairing while also posting 99 hits. He us set up for a big pay day as a restricted free agent this off-season. Artyom Levshunov, CHI vs. LV (5% rostered)Levshunov is providing snippets of why he was selected second overall last season. He has four assists in eight games, adding 10 shots and 11 hits. Levshunov is learning on the fly, which os perfect for a Chicago team in growth mode. He projects to be a future first-pair blueliner that cam play in every situation. Right now, though, he still is going through growing pains, so expect up-and-downs the balance of the campaign. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 28 - Go With Gibson Between the Pipes
Six games on Friday, March 28 * = confirmed Jaxson Stauber, UTAH @ Sergei Bobrovsky, FLA (7 p.m. ET) Sam Montembeault, MTL @ Frederik Andersen, CAR (7 p.m. ET) Thatcher Demko, VAN @ Elvis Merzlikins, CLM (7 p.m. ET) Jacob Markstrom, NJ @ Connor Hellebuyck, WPG (8 p.m. ET) Adin Hill, LV @ Spencer Knight, CHI (8:30 p.m. ET) Igor Shesterkin, NYR @ Lukas Dostal, ANA (10 p.m. ET) Elvis Merzlikins, CLM  vs. VAN (30% rostered)Elvis was in the building Monday, notching his first win since March 1, snapping an 0-5-1 stretch in which Merzlikins had posted a 3.55 GAA and .891 save percentage. He was aided by the return of Sean Monahan, bolstering the team's offense. Columbus will not an easy time with Vancouver, who have remained in playoff contention despite the absence of Elias Pettersson and Filip Chytil. But if Merzlikins is on his game, he has a good chance at notching a victory with a large number of saves.  John Gibson, ANA vs. NYR (15% rostered)Lukas Dostal is expected to be between the pipes, as Anaheim have been rottaing starters and Gibson started Wednesday. The Ducks relied on Dostal heavily while Gibson was sidelined, but he has hit a rough patch. Gibson, healthy again after a lower-body injury that kept him out for much of March, has won consecutive starts. If he is in net, he has a good chance at picking up the win versus a Rangers team that has lost eight of 11 games.  Remember to bookmark The Hockey News Fantasy site for stats, news, analysis, rankings, projections and more, including the Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast!

NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 26 - Canucks' Suter and Devils' Haula Stepping Up with Bigger Names Out
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. Plus Suter, C, VAN @ NYI (6% rostered)Ladies and gentlemen, your Vancouver Canucks first line center. Who had Suter in this roll on your bingo card? Yet, here is where we are as Elias Pettersson (undisclosed) and Filip Chytil (concussion) are both sidelined with injuries. Suter made the most of the chance Monday, notching a goal and an assist. He had been productive lately in a lesser role prior to the two absences, picking up five goals and seven points over the last seven games. Kyle Palmieri, RW, NYI vs. VAN (18% rostered)Palmieri surprisingly lit the lamp 30 times last season while adding 24 assists for the second highest point total of his career. His numbers have taken a small hit this year, though he still is having a solid campaign. Palmieri is at 2 goals, 45 points, 143 shots on net, 47 hits, 37 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 70 contests, leaving him nine shy of last year’s total. He is seeing time on the Islanders’ top line as they try and make a late-season run to a playoff spot. Eric Haula, C/LW, NJ @ CHI (3% rostered)Holla at your boy, as Haula scored for the third game in a row Monday, and he has six points over his last seven outings. Haula has stepped up with Jack Hughes (shoulder) sidelined for the balance of the season. He is up to nine goals, 17 points, 97 shots on net, 87 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-7 rating through 59 contests this season, but as seen above, a good portion of that production has come lately. Haula showed the last three seasons he can produce offensively, so roll with him while hot.  Jeff Skinner, LW, EDM vs. DAL (26% rostered)Like Suter and Haula, Skinner has raised his game with bigger name players sidelined. He has a three goals his last two contests, provide offense with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl sidelined. The veteran winger will see his production decline for the second season in a row, as he has is 14 goals, 24 points, 124 shots on net and a minus-1 rating through 60 outings overall. But if he remains hot while McDavid and Draisaitl are out, all will likely be forgotten in Oilers-land. Mason McTavish, C, ANA @ BOS (29% rostered)The 4 Nations Face-Off break came after a perfect time for McTavish. He used to time off to rest and reset, which has been evident in his performance on the ice. Since then, McTavish has five goals and 11 assists in 15 games, helping him match up production from 2022-23 as a rookie and exceed last year's total by a point. McTavish, centering the Ducks' third line, has a good chance of challenging the 50-point mark by the end of the campaign. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defensemen Pickups March 26 - Islanders' DeAngelo Producing From The Backline
Tony DeAngelo, NYI @ CHI (18% rostered)DeAngelo extended his point streak to three games with an assist Monday. Stretching back a little further, ADA has a goal and seven helpers in his last nine contests. This production has bumped his season totals to a pair of tallies and 12 apples in 23 appearances for the Islanders. He continues to log heavy minutes in New York, skating 23:36 a contest on the top pair with Alexander Romanov. Add in 30 hits in those 23 games and you have a blueliner contributing across the board.  Pavel Mintyukov, ANA vs. BOS (4% rostered)Minty is questionable for Wednesday's game with an illness, so check his status prior to making a move. Recently. Mintyukov has picked up his offense, notching a goal and four assists in his last eight contests. He is up to five goals, 17 points, 73 hits and 80 blocks in 58 appearances in 2024-25, which is a mild disappointment after he finished at 28 points in 63 contests last season as a rookie. Anaheim is loaded with young defensemen and Mintyukov will enter a key year in his development next season. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 26 - Anaheim's Dostal Worth a Look on a Slow Game Night
Four games on Wednesday, March 26 * = confirmed Thatcher Demko, VAN @ Ilya Sorokin, NYI (7:30 p.m. ET) Jacob Markstrom, NJ @ Spencer Knight, CHI (7:30 p.m. ET) Jake Oettinger, DAL @ Stuart Skinner, EDM (10 p.m. ET) Jeremy Swayman, BOS @ Lukas Dostal, ANA (10:30 p.m. ET) Lukas Dostal, ANA vs. BOS (42% rostered)With only four games on the docket and heavily-rostered starters between the pipes in most contests, not many options remain. Dostal, despite his recent struggles, gets the tap on the shoulder for today's column. Dostal took a third loss in a row (0-2-1) Sunday, and he's allowed 13 goals on 81 shots in that span. That rough patch has dropped his season marks to 20-19-6, with a 2.99 goals-against average and .907 save percentage over a career-high 45 appearances. . John Gibson is healthy again after a lower-body injury that kept him out for much of March, so Dostal will likely be sharing the crease moving forward. But Dostal is clearly the future in net for Anaheim. Against a Boston team with their own issues, the Ducks and Dostal certainly stand a strong chance of notching a victory. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 24 - Haula At Your Boy Offensively in New Jersey
Drew O'Connor, LW, VAN @ NJ (0% rostered)This is a recency bias selection with only four games on the docket. O'Connor has goals in two of his last three games skating on Vancouver's third line. The two tallies move O'Connor up to 10 markers, a year after he lit the lamp 16 times, so he does have a bit of a scoring touch. O'Connor also provides a hit per contest and is up to 52 blocked shots as well, so he does contribute a bit across the board. Erik Haula, C/LW, NJ vs. VAN (2% rostered)Haula has been doing his best to help New Jersey's offense with Jack Hughes sidelined for the rest of the season. The 33-year-old center scored for the second straight contest Saturday and is up to five points over his last six games, a span that includes three of his eight tallies this season. Haula moved from center to left wing this season and has struggled overall, with just 16 points in 58 contests, a far cry from his production each of the past three seasons. Haula, though, may be closing hot based on his current output.  Simon Holmstrom, RW, NYI vs. CLM (2% rostered)Holmstrom extended his point streak to four games with an assist Saturday. With that helper, the 23-year-old right winger is up to 17 goals, 38 points and 81 shots on net in 62 appearances this season. A former first round pick, 23 overall in 2019, Holmstrom has increased his production for the second straight season while skating on the top line on the Island. The next step for him is to produce on the man advantage, which looks more than likely as he skates on the team's top unit. Marcus Johansson, LW, MIN @ DAL (1% rostered)On days where only foru games are scheduled, sometimes a few dart throws are included. This is one such case. M-Jo is having a fairly typical season with seven goals, including two in his last three games, and 25 points through 60 outings. That production doesn't scream, add me to your fantasy roster. But with Minnesota managing without Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek, Johansson remains as the second line, left wing, giving him a decent shot at production.  Barrett Hayton, C, UTAH vs. DET (14% rostered)Hayton has had an up-and-down month, but still has seven points in 11 contests in March. The 24-year-old center is up to 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists), 133 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a flat, plus-minus rating over 70 appearances. Hayton, the fifth overall pick in 2018, is centering Utah's second line and still has a decent chance at topping his career-high 43-point effort from 2022-23. One aspect that remains clear about his game is that Hayton needs to shoot more, as he likely will again finish at less than two-shots-per-contest. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defensemen Pickups March 24 - DeAngelo Bolstering Islanders' Blueline
Tony DeAngelo, NYI vs. CLM (13% rostered)ADA has bolstered the back end on the Island since arriving at the end of January. He notched a pair of assists Thursday, following that performance up with a helper Saturday. DeAngelo has earned seven points over his last eight contests, including a pair of power-play assists. He continues to stay involved with the man advantage despite the return of Noah Dobson, at times pairing with him on the point of the power play. ADA is seeing 23+ minutes of ice time, which is the most of his career. Simon Edvinsson, DET @ UTAH (7% rostered)Edvinsson's offense has slipped this month, as he may be wearing down slightly in his first complete NHL season. He has three helpers, 19 blocks, 16 PIM and 12 shots on net over 10 outings in March. Despite the decline in output, Edvisson is still seeing solid ice time, skating 20:31 a contest, only a 24 second decline from his first 55 games played. Edvinsson is still having a solid rookie campaign, at 26 points, 66 shots on net, 121 blocks, 66 hits, 52 PIM and a plus-4 rating through 65 contests. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 24 - Utah's Vejmelka On A Roll Recently
Four games on Monday, March 24 * = confirmed Kevin Lankinen, VAN @ Jacob Markstrom, NJ (7:30 p.m. ET) Elvis Merzlikins, CLM @ Ilya Sorokin, NYI (7:30 p.m. ET) Filip Gustavsson, MIN @ Jake Oettinger, DAL (8 p.m. ET) Cam Talbot, DET @ Karel Vejmelka, UTAH (9 p.m. ET) Karel Vejmelka, UTAH vs. DET (42% rostered)Vejmelka remained hot on ice between the pipes Saturday, making 22 saves in a win over Tampa. He has won two straight games, and he's 9-3-2 in his last 14 appearances (13 starts) with a 2.41 goals-against average (GAA) and .904 save percentage. Overall, he's elevated his season stat line to a 21-18-6 record, 2.53 GAA and .907 save percentage, earning the five-year, $23.75 million contract extension he signed with Utah in March. Vejmelka and Utah have a strong chance of a win against a struggling Detroit squad. If you are not risk averse, Cam Talbot, who has lost five games in a row, and Elvis Merzlikins, coming into Monday's games with sixth straight defeats, are additional options.  Remember to bookmark The Hockey News Fantasy site for stats, news, analysis, rankings, projections and more, including the Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast!

NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 23 - Pittsburgh's Rust Certainly Not Dealing with Any Offensively
Teuvo Teravainen, LW/RW, CHI vs. PHI (21% rostered)Turbo was stuck in park Saturday in the Blackhawks' 4-1 loss to the Blues, failing to notch a point. That does not detract from what he has done offensively since February 1, as the winger is a point-per-game player in that stretch. Teravainen has four goals and 15 assists in 19 games with five of those points coming on the man advantage. He is up to 15 marker and 30 apples in 70 contests, making his prior year production. JJ Peterka, LW/RW, BUF @ WPG (42%)Peterka has very quietly earned at least one point in nine of his last 11 outings. That hot stretch has upped his season totals to 20 goals and 32 assists, setting a new career-high for the second straight campaign. Drafted in second round, 54 overall in 2020, Peterka, skating on Buffalo's top trio, is in line for a big contract this offseason as his entry level deal expires. Bryan Rust, LW, PIT @ FLA (46% rostered)Rust is having a good March, even though his production has been uneven in the month. His goal and assist Friday was fifth time in 10 contests this month that Rust has put his name on the scoresheet, though he's racked up three goals and six helpers. This is the second straight season Rust has broken the 50-point barrier and he has a chance to match his career-high 58 points from the 2021-22 campaign. Fedor Svechkov, C, NSH @ STL (0% rostered)Svechkov notched a pair of assists, including one on the power play, Saturday. Those two apples broke a four-game pointless streak for Svechkov, who has been seeing consistent ice time as the Predators' third-line center while also skating on the second power-play unit. Selected in the first round, 19 overall in 2021, Svehckov is up to six goals and seven helpers in 37 games in this his rookie campaign. Ivan Barbashev, C/LW, LV vs. TB (32% rostered)Barbashev notched a pair of assists Saturday, giving him 25 helpers for the season. Those two points moved Barbashev's season total to 45, matching his output from each of the past two campaigns. An injury cost Barbashev 10 games in late-December and early-January, with that absence and a slump thereafter keeping his point total down slightly following his extremely hot start. But Barbashev looks to be back on the beam skating on Vegas' top line. Troy Terry, C/RW, ANA vs. CAR (29% rostered)Terry has exceeded the 50-point mark for the fourth straight season. In addition, he has cracked the scoresheet for the fifth time over his last eight appearances, a stretch in which he's accounted for two goals and four assists. Despite Anaheim's minus-30 goal differential, Terry is a plus-six, further showing his value. He sits just one shy of hitting the 20-goal plateau for the fourth straight season.  Morgan Geekie, C/LW/RW, BOS @ LA (15% rostered)Geekie has thrived since arriving in Boston from Seattle. He notched 39 points last season, a jump of 16 from his last year with the Kraken. This season. he has raised his production since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, earning seven goals and two assists over 13 contests in that span. Overall, he's at 24 goals, 38 points, 129 shots on net, 93 hits and a plus-2 rating through 65 appearances, putting him on pace for several new career-highs. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Defensemen Pickups March 20 - Buffalo Has the Power Back Offensively After It Flickered Last Season
Artem Levshunov, CHI vs. PIT (6% rostered)Jason Chen profiled Levshunov, who is going though growing pains, Saturday.  Chicago is wisely giving the rookie d-man all the ice time he can handle in almost situations. The results so far have been less than pretty, as Levshunov, the second overall pick in last year's draft, was a minus-one Saturday and is now a minus-10 on the season. But his overall upside, including offensively, make him worth a look in almost all formats, as look as you can withstand the negayive plus-minus rating.  Owen Power, BUF @ WPG (28% rostered)Power, after a stellar rookie season, took a small step pack offensively last year, focusing more on his own end of the ice. Coming into 2024-25, most expected another small decline in production based on that style of play. Power, though, has melded both parts of his game nicely, showing the offensive form we saw as a rookie. He is up to seven goals, 28 assists, 124 shots on net and 101 blocks in 67 appearances this season, with his point total matching his 2022-23 performance.  Justin Faulk, STL vs. NSH (44% rostered)Faulk's hot streak continued Saturday, as he notched an assist in the Blues' 4-1 win over the Blackhawks. That apple gave Faulk a goal and seven helpers his last eight games, moving his season total up to 30 points. This is the fourth straight season Faulk hit that barrier with the 12 points on the man-advantage his most in that category since 2017-18 when he was a Hurricane. Faulk has helped the Blues survive the loss of Colton Parayko. Darren Raddysh, TB @ LV (14% rostered)Raddysh was held off the scoresheet for the third straight game Saturday but he still has eight points in nine contests for the Lightning. Despite hitting a bit of a skid recently, Raddysh sits just two points shy of his prior and career-high total from last season. Raddysh benefits from skating next to Victor Hedman on Tampa's top defensive pairing.  Remember to bookmark The Hockey News Fantasy site for stats, news, analysis, rankings, projections and more, including the Sleepers and Keepers fantasy hockey podcast!

NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 23 - Pittsburgh's Jarry Comes into the Contest Red-Hot
Seven games on Sunday, March 23 * = confirmed Samuel Ersson, PHI @ Spencer Knight, CHI (3 p.m. ET) James Reimer, BUF @ Connor Hellebuyck, WPG (3 p.m ET) Tristan Jarry, PIT @ Sergei Bobrovsky, FLA (6 p.m. ET) Justus Annunen, NSH @ Jordan Binnington, STL (6 p.m. ET) Andrei Vasilevskiy, TB @ Ilya Samsonov, LV (8 p.m. ET) Frederik Andersen, CAR @ Lukas Dostal, ANA (8 p.m. ET) Jeremy Swayman, BOS @ Darcy Kuemper, LA (9 p.m. ET) Spencer Knight, CHI vs. PHI (24% rostered)Knight has been mostly right for the Blackhawks, though, his numbers have been less than stellar due to the play in front of him. Chicago certainly have their top netminder, now the key will be building around Knight and Connor Bedard. Knight has started in four of Chicago's last five games, but he's lost every one of those starts while posting a 3.30 goals-against average (GAA) and an .877 save percentage, evdencing both points made above. Philly is 5-4-1 in their 10, so the hope for Knight's fabtasy teams is that he posts a high number of saves with a win being challenging. Tristan Jarry, PIT @ FLA (30% rostered)Pittsburgh has been red-hot recently, winning five of their last six games. Jarry was between the pipes for the first four victories before falling Thursday. He was strong in all five contests, stopping 154 of 166 shots, for a .928 save percentage and 2.40 GAA. Jarry spent nearly two months in the minors due to his struggles between the pipes, but as noted above, he has been vastly better since his recall. He and Pittsburgh will have a tough battle versus Florida, making a victory difficult. But the Penguins come in hot, giving them a reasonable at a victory. Justus Annunen, NSH @ STL (6% rostered)Annunen has been better in Nahville than he was in Colorado since the trade to the Predators. The 25-year-old has appeared in 16 games for Nashville since being acquired via trade earlier this season, posting an 8-6-1 record with a 2.95 GAA and a .901 save percentage in that span. Annunen was 6-4-0 with a 3.22 GAA and .872 save percentage in Colorado. He has been alternating wins and losses across his last four starts, but was on his game the past two contests. Nashville defeated Toronto on Saturday, ending a two-game losing streak, which takes a little pressure off Annunen. Look for a third straight solid start from him with a win a strong likelihood. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Skater Pickups March 20 - Olivier and Rust The Ones To Target in Sole Game Friday
FORWARDS: Mathieu Olivier, RW, CLM @ PIT (21% rostered)Olivier, despite being shut out Thursday as Columbus failed to tally at all, has six goals on 25 shots and two assists over his last 10 outings. That hot streak has given Olivier 16 markers and 10 apples in 68 outings, leaving one point shy of matching his total from 2022-23 and 2023-24 combined. Add in 250 hits and 68 blocked shots and you have a third-line stat stuffer who is value in just about all formats.  Bryan Rust, RW, PIT vs. CLM (42% rostered)Rust doesn't generate a lot of publicity and using goes later in leagues than he should. But he has been remarkably consistent the last six seasons, scoring between 42 and 58 points. Rust is on the verge of reaching the 50-point plateau for the fourth time in his career, as has 49 points (22 goals, 27 helpers) through 57 games this season.  He has an outside shot of exceeding his prior career-high of 58 points set in 2021-22. DEFENSEMEN: Connor Timmins, PIT vs. CLM (1% rostered)Timmins is certainly not known for his offense, but he has picked it up on that end of the ice. He has notched a goal and three assists his last three contests, upping his season-marks to three and nine. Those 12 points leave Timmins just two points shy of his career high set in 2022-23 whe he played for Arizona and Pittsburgh. He benefits from skating opposite Kris Letang, which aids his offensive chances.

NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 21 - Tarasov and Jarry An Even Match Up
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. One game on Friday, March 21 * = confirmed Daniil Tarasov, CLM @ PIT (3% rostered) Tristan Jarry, PIT vs. CLM (29% rostered)With only one game on the schedule, why not go with both netminders. Tarasov has been solid backing up Elvis Merzlikins, allowing just 10 goals on 119 shots over his last four outings, winning three. On the season, Tarasov is 7-8-2 with a 3.51 goals-against average (GAA) and an .882 save percentage over 17 appearances. Pittsbugh has been riding Jarry between the pipes, starting him five straight contests. Jarry won the first four of those outings, surrendering nine tallies on 129 shots before blowing a 2-0 lead and losing to the Islanders on Tuesday. Columbus fell 1-0 in overtime to Florida on Thursday while Pittsburgh has been off since Tuesday. This one truly is a coin flip, though the Blue Jackets have been trending in the wrong direction lately. Give Jarry and the Penguins a slight edge on notching a win. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Skater Pickups March 17 - Toronto's Domi and Minnesota's Spurgeon Rolling in March
FORWARDS Jonathan Drouin, LW/RW, COL @ TOR (23% rostered)Drouin's performance has been up and down since the trade deadline. Brock Nelson’s arrival has moved Drouin down to the second power play unit at times, which cuts down his chances with the man advantage. In addition, after a hit stretch, Drouin has been limited to three goals and two assists in eight March games, but he still has 30 points in 35 games since returning from injury. Max Domi, C/LW, TOR vs. COL (6% rostered)Domi continued his recent upswing in play Monday, notching a goal and an assist. The 30-year-old veteran has cracked the scoresheet in three of his last four contests, notching eight points (three goals, five assists) in 12 games since the 4 Nations break. Overall, though, it's been a disappointing year for Domi with only 28 points in 59 contests, but he looks to be closing the year out strong. Jordan Eberle, RW, SEA @ MIN (7% rostered)Eberle aded another goal Tuesday, extending the roll he has been on since returning from missing 40 games and three months due to pelvis surgery. He has a pair of tallies and six helpers during his current five-game point streak and is up to 21 points in 29 games. Eberle is ensconced as the Kraken’s second line left wing, both at even strength and on the man advantage. Marco Rossi, C, MIN vs. SEA (31% rostered)Rossi is in the middle of a rough patch, notching just two assists in March. Despite the mild slump, Rossi is highlighted here because he now is centering the Wild’s top line with Joel Ericsson ask sidelined. For the season, Rossi, selected ninth overall in 2020, remains one of the Wild's top forwards with 53 points (13 on the power play) in 68 games building on the success he had in first full season in 2023-24. DEFENSEMEN Jared Spurgeon, MIN vs. SEA (25% rostered)Spurgeon has raised his game, helping the Wild manage in the absence of Kirill Kaprizov and sophomore slump of Brock Faber. He ask sidelined. has a goal and six assists over eight contests in March, upping his season-marks to 28 points, 84 shots on net, 93 blocked shots, 42 hits and a plus-8 rating through 53 appearances. Spurgeon should crack the 30-point barrier for the third straight season he has played at least 65 games. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Goalie Pickups and Expected Starters March 19 - Seattle's Grubauer Heating Up
On every game day this season, THN Fantasy will highlight players and goalies for fantasy managers to stream or roster for the rest of the season. The recommended players and goalies are rostered in less than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues and can be selected in standard fantasy leagues or for daily fantasy games. Two games on Wednesday, March 19 * = confirmed Mackenzie Blackwood, COL @ Joseph Woll, TOR (7 p.m. ET) Philipp Grubauer, SEA @ Filip Gustavsson, MIN (9:30 p.m. ET) Philipp Grubauer, SEA @ MIN (4% rostered)Grubauer's time with AHL Coachella Valley looks to have served him well to get back on track after a brutal start and stretch earlier this season. He's allowed just three goals on 49 shots over two starts, both wins, including Friday, since returning from the minor-league club March 2. The 33-year-old could help alleviate the workload of Joey Daccord, who started the front end of Seattle’s back-to-back Tuesday and has struggle recently. For the season, Grubauer is 7-15-1 with a 3.61 GAA and an .872 save percentage over 23 appearances. NHL Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire Forward Pickups March 17 - Kings' Q Living Not Dying in LA
Jason Zucker, LW, BUF @ BOS (15% rostered)Buffalo has hit a bit of a road black as a team but Zucker has been doing his part offensively. Since January 15, he has 14 points, including 10 assists, in his last 14 appearances. For the season, Zucker is up to 19 goals, 26 assists and 105 shots in 57 games. Barring a complete collapse down the stretch, Zucker should post the second hight point total of his career, topped only by the 64 points he notched in 2017-18 as a member of the Wild.  Nick Paul, C/LW, TB vs. PHI (11% rostered)Paul has been inconsistent after a blazing hot start but he is producing just enough to warrant utilizing. He got off to a torrid start with 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in his first 12 games, but then posted just 26 points in his past 48 appearances. Those numbers don't tell the full story, as Paul has been back on the beam offensively, notching nine points in his last 13 contests. That hot streak has left him just nine points shy of matching the career-high 46 he posted just last season.  Joel Farabee, LW/RW, CGY @ TOR (5% rostered)Farabee took a while to settle into the Flames offensive flow, as he tallied just one point his first 12 contests. He has found his touch lately, notching a pair of goals and a helper his last four games. Farabee is skating on the second line, both at even strength and on the man-advantage, and has seen a small uptick in ice time as his play improved lately. Quinton Byfield, C, LA @ MIN (5% rostered)Byfield's sluggish start sure looks to be a thing of the past, His overtime tally versus Nashville on Saturday extended his goal streak to six games. Granted, some of his markers have been a bit lucky, as he has taken just 13 shots in this stretch. Those teams that have Byfield on them are not complaining as he's now at 17 goals, 40 points, 126 shots on net, 66 hits, 26 blocked shots and a plus-11 rating over 65 appearances. Byfield is unlikely to exceed the career 55 points he posted last season but he certainly may get close.
