The Vancouver Canucks have announced their schedule for the 2024-25 preseason. This year's preseason will feature six games, with the Canucks facing the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken. Each team will play one game at home and one game on the road, with the first matchup scheduled for September 24 versus the Kraken at Rogers Arena.
As has been the case for the past few seasons, Vancouver will play one game at the Abbotsford Center. This game will feature the Flames and take place on September 25. The Canucks will then play three games on the road before wrapping up the preseason against the Oilers at Rogers Arena on October 4. According to the press release, ticket information will be announced at a later date.
This year's preseason will be an excellent opportunity for prospects within Vancouver's system to show they are ready to make the jump to the NHL. Some players to keep an eye on will be Arshdeep Bains, Max Sasson, Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Linus Karlsson, Akito Hirose and Cole McWard. The preseason will also offer an opportunity for Canucks fans to get a first look at the new players Vancouver brings in through free agency as the team builds chemistry ahead of opening night.
