This month, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan have confirmed the sale of the team to a group of St. John's based investors who will bring the team to Newfoundland for the 2024-25 season.

The QMJHL announced the formation of its own 'Prospects Game' this month, which will take place in Sherbrooke ahead of the 2025-26 season in September.

    Tournaments

The 2025 World Juniors started in Ottawa on December 26th, with 13 QMJHL stars playing in the tournament.

At the tournament so far, we've seen some standout performances from QMJHL players including Sherbrooke Phoenix goaltender Linards Feldbergs and Latvia's upset over Canada.

Although that isn't the only international tournament of note for QMJHL fans that took place during December, as the league saw Tampa Bay Lightning prospect and Gatineau Olympiques defender Jan Golicic and Drummondville Voltigeurs defenseman Teo Besnier head to Slovenia for the Division-I A World Juniors.
